Recruitment and retention have always been a challenge for public employers; however the last few years have been especially difficult. Public-sector organizations, like state arts agencies, are built on the skill, experience and loyalty of their employees and when retention rates are low, they suffer. The NASAA Learning Series web seminar screening and our subsequent discussion will examine what makes government employees want to leave their jobs and explores some ways that state arts agencies can help retain their valuable staff.
Participants in this screening and discussion workshop will watch a 1-hour recording of a webinar on Retaining Public-Sector Employees on the NASAA Learning Series’ YouTube channel and then have a chance to engage in a dialogue and Q&A session with webinar leader, Dr. Rivka Liss-Levinson. Plan to bring your personal experiences, insights, and questions!
