2024 Grant Programs and Honorifics at the National Endowment for the Arts: Tips for Submitting a Competitive Application/Nomination
Program staff from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) will introduce a range of grant opportunities, focusing on Grants for Art Projects, and the National Heritage Fellowships program, and will include an overview of funding opportunities, examples of successful projects, and things to consider when submitting an application or nomination. The webinar will take place Wednesday, May 8 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. (EDT). There will be time for questions at the end of the webinar.

Open to the public, this informational webinar will have a special focus on NEA support for living traditions/folk & traditional arts. This artistic focus contains a wide range of community practices that are rooted in and reflective of the cultural life of a community. Community members may share a common ethnic heritage, cultural mores, language, religion, occupation, or geographic region. Vital and constantly reinvigorated, these artistic traditions are shaped by values and standards of excellence passed from generation to generation, most often within family and community, through demonstration, conversation, and practice. Genres of artistic activity include and are often a combination of music, dance, crafts, and oral expression.

Anyone working in the arts and cultural field. Community-based arts and cultural organizations, arts workers, artists and related constituents, for example, staff and council/board members from state arts agencies, regional arts organizations, local arts agencies, are encouraged to participate.
