Anna Lomax Wood Interviewed for Her Work on Italian American Musical Culture

On April 2, 2025, American anthropologist, ethnomusicologist, and public folklorist Anna Lomax Wood was interviewed by Jo Ann Cavallo, Professor of Italian at Columbia University, about her experiences researching the musical traditions of Italian immigrants in the tri-state area (NY-NJ-CT) during the 1970s and 1980s, her involvement in various initiatives to document and support folk culture, as well as her long-term leadership of the Association for Cultural Equity and the Global Jukebox.
The interview is featured on Italian American Collective, which is an Oral History Project created and developed by the Italian faculty of the Department of French, Italian, and Classical Studies at Miami University, Ohio.
