NHA Publishes Report on the Value of a Liberal Education

The National Humanities Alliance has published a new advocacy resource that marshals evidence from their research on undergraduate courses and programs that integrate the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences to advocate for their value to key stakeholders, including upper administrators, prospective collaborators, and funders. The 4-page document consolidates student survey data and enrollment data to demonstrate how integrative initiatives (1) achieve enhanced learning outcomes; (2) show students how they can leverage liberal arts knowledge and skills in their career; and (3) motivate them to take more liberal arts courses.

This resource was produced as part of a larger project funded by the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations. For more information about the integrative initiatives highlighted, please see the full-length report, Attracting Students to the Liberal Arts Through Integrative Curricula.
