The American Folklore Society calls for applications for the next editor(s) of the Journal of American Folklore/JAF: A Global Quarterly by May 15, 2024, for a term beginning in January 2025.

A range of editor configurations have been successful in the past, and AFS is open to proposals for innovative staffing structures going forward. The 2023 creation of a Senior Managing Editor position to support the Editor(s)-in-Chief in supervising and carrying out the editorial process will hopefully make it possible for applicants from a wider range of institutional arrangements than has previously been feasible.
