Call for Submissions: St. George Tucker Society Bradford-Delaney Dissertation Prize

The St. George Tucker Society, an interdisciplinary scholarly organization dedicated to the study of the American South, has opened its annual Bradford-Delaney Dissertation Prize for applications. Submissions are due by April 30, 2022.
The award recognizes the best dissertation focused on the U.S. South, any time period and any discipline. The prize includes a $1,000 award and opportunity to discuss the project at the Society’s annual meeting.
Attendance at the 2022 meeting in Savannah is mandatory for receipt of the prize.
Eligible dissertations will have been completed and defended in the 2021 calendar year and must be written in English. Self-nominations accepted.
To apply, submit a letter of application, CV, dissertation abstract, and an electronic copy of the dissertation by April 30, 2022 to Dr. Ansley Quiros, Associate Professor of History at the University of North Alabama.
