CFP: SIEF2027 Congress “Frontiers: Hidden, Visible, Mobile”
The International Society for Ethnology and Folklore (SIEF) will hold its next congress in Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, August 3–6, 2027. The theme of the congress is “Frontiers: hidden, visible, mobile.” SIEF2027 invites ethnologists, folklorists, anthropologists, and scholars from adjacent fields, to explore the many ways of framing visible, hidden and mobile frontiers.
Their call for panels and roundtables is open through November 2, 2026. Please begin by reading the congress theme, followed by all the instructions found on the call for panels info page and then submit your proposal. All proposals must be submitted via the online form on that page. SIEF2027 will have a two-stage call with the call for papers opening around November 30, once the panels have been selected.
