Folklore Resources at The New York Public Library Is Now Live

The New York Public Library (NYPL) publishes a research guide designed as an introduction to the wide array of folklore and folklore-related resources at NYPL, especially reference works, and resources focused on storytelling. The five tabs of this guide (About, Reference and Resources, Tales, Additional Folklore Subjects, Folklore Studies) explore how to find examples of folklore at NYPL, academic journals, reference materials, research starting points, and more.

The guide was prepared by Talia Nudell, who obtained her master’s degree in folklore from the University of Oregon and currently works as a research librarian at NYPL.
