Storytelling Study Seeks Participants

Organizers of an online experiment on assessing creative storytelling are looking for participants who have expertise in creative writing and storytelling.
Participants will read and judge qualities of several stories and answer brief survey questions. The experiment will have one to two sessions with a flexible timeline, each lasting about 30 to 60 minutes. Participants will be compensated at least $9.50 per hour and up to $10 per hour.
Participants must be at least 18 years old, U.S. citizens located in the United States, have the capacity to consent, have normal or corrected-to-normal vision, and have access to a computer and a quiet room. Applicants must sign up to create an account at Prolific.co, where the experiment is hosted, which will allow for payment (email Ruby Zeng at [email protected] for further instructions).
Please note that participation in this study is *completely* voluntary; participants are under no obligation to participate and are free to withdraw at any time.
Those interested in signing up or who have any questions about the study may email Ruby Zeng at [email protected] to receive further instructions on how to create a Prolific account and participate in the study in a follow-up email.
The organizers are also seeking recommendations for online corpora/datasets/collections of stories that vary in creativity level, or in how well they are written, but are similar in overall structure (preferably short stories less than 1000 words, but not required). Please e-mail any tips/suggestions to [email protected].
