The Chinese University of Hong Kong Seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor of Anthropology

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is seeking to hire an associate or assistant professor of anthropology specializing in sociocultural anthropology with a geographical focus in East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, or transnational processes involving these areas. Applications are due by March 14, 2022.

Applicants should:

• have a PhD degree in anthropology
• have the ability to teach, secure grants, and publish in English.

Ability to supervise postgraduate theses written in Chinese will be an advantage, but is not essential. The appointee will be responsible for (a) teaching; (b) research; and (c) assisting in the promotion of the Department’s postgraduate programmes and some administrative duties.
