Western Kentucky University Seeks Luce Foundation Term Assistant Curator for Folk Art

The Luce Foundation Term Assistant Curator for Folk Art will complete the third and final year of a grant-funded Folk Art Documentation Project that will document and digitize the Kentucky Museum Folk Art Collection. The Term Assistant Curator will use museum collection management software to edit existing and/or create new catalog records; they will supervise the work of a part-time assistant, possibly a WKU graduate student, who is hired to assist with documentation and digitization efforts; they will evaluate the Folk Art Collection for its compliance with the Museum’s Collection Plan; they will make recommendations for possible acquisitions and/or areas to emphasize; and they will support exhibition development, including assisting in the planning of folk-art related exhibits.

Salary:  $20.67/hr
