Window Seat Media, a nonprofit that facilitates community oral history and storytelling projects in the South Puget Sound region, is hiring for a part-time Community Engagement Coordinator.
The Community Engagement Coordinator will build partnerships and assess community need to inform project framing, design, and service provision; design and implement WSM’s first public communications and community-centric fundraising plans in collaboration with and with support from volunteers, board and staff; and explore and develop new ways to share stories (i.e. print, electronic, events) to expand reach and impact of oral history projects.
The ideal candidate is someone with a background in community organizing, nonprofit fundraising or communications, or related field and who embraces storytelling and the arts as inextricable parts of building a more just and equitable future.
