Gloria M. Colom Braña is completing her doctorate in folklore at Indiana University Bloomington. She received her bachelor’s in science in environmental design at the University of Puerto Rico Río Piedras, a master’s in science in historic preservation at Columbia University, and a master’s in architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Colom Braña’s dissertation centers on the contemporary vernacular architecture practices in Puerto Rico.
