Academic Language Experts Hosts Event on Turning Research into a News Story

Academic Language Experts, an organization dedicated to helping academics adapt their research for publication, is hosting an event called “Publishing for Impact: How to Turn Your Research Project into a Front Page News Story” on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. EST.

The event will feature a conversation between Bruce Wilson, Chief Innovation and Development Officer at the research-oriented news organization The Conversation and Academic Language Experts’ CEO and founder, Avi Staiman.

Wilson will share his insights from his work at ‘The Conversation’ where he has helped thousands of scholars turn their research into impactful news stories and commentary that reaches millions of readers in major media outlets such as The Washington Post, CNN, Scientific American and is in the Associated Press feed daily. The two will discuss how researchers can use their experience and knowledge to provide informed commentary and debate to grapple with the critical issues that impact our world.
