AFS Independent Folklorists Section Starts New Book Group
The Independent Folklorists section of the AFS is starting a book group. Their first meeting will be held at 9pm ET on April 8, 2025. They will read Flawless Consulting: A Guide to Getting Your Expertise Used by Peter Block, and they will explore the following topics:
- Authenticity
- Challenging assumptions
- Developing a process
- Contracting from the basics to the complex
- Dealing with resistance
- Discovering gifts, capacities, and possibilities
- Confronting the agonies of being a consultant
- Implementation
- Preparing for feedback
