The National Arts Relief Fund, offered by Americans for the Arts, is a one-time rapid-response grant program created to support nonprofit organizations whose funding offer from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) was withdrawn in 2025. This Fund will provide all eligible organizations that received a Notice of Withdrawn Funding Recommendation with 50% of the withdrawn offer.

To be eligible for a National Arts Relief Fund grant, organizations must be:

  • A US-based IRS-designated 501 (c) (3) organization
  • Able to demonstrate that they were offered a grant by the National Endowment for the Arts by providing a Funding Offer Letter
  • Able to demonstrate that their grant offer was withdrawn by the National Endowment for the Arts in 2025 by providing a Notice of Withdrawn Funding Recommendation
  • Able to demonstrate that their grant offer was not reinstated through the appeals process

This opportunity is being offered on a four-week rolling basis. The current cycle of grant applications will close on November 18, 2025.

Americans for the Arts serves, advances, and leads the network of organizations and individuals who cultivate, promote, sustain, and support the arts in America. Founded in 1960, Americans for the Arts is the nation’s leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education.
