CFP: 8th International Conference on Communication & Media Studies
Complutense University of Madrid invites proposals for their 8th International Conference on Communication & Media Studies, which will be held in Madrid, Spain September 6-8, 2023. The deadline for proposal submission is June 6, 2023.
Founded in 2015, the Communication & Media Studies Research Network offers an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of the role of the media and communications in society. They seek to build an epistemic community where they can make linkages across disciplinary, geographic, and cultural boundaries. As a Research Network, they are defined by their scope and concerns and motivated to build strategies for action framed by their shared themes and tensions.
The Eighth International Conference on Communication & Media Studies features research addressing the following annual themes and special focus:
- 2023 Special Focus—Who Can We Trust? Ethical and Responsible Artificial Intelligence in Digital Communication Systems
- Theme 1: Media Cultures
- Theme 2: Media Theory
- Theme 3: Media Technologies and Processes
- Theme 4: Media Business
- Theme 5: Media Literacies
