Drs. Mila Zhu and Sarah Morrison are calling for chapter proposals for their forthcoming volume, Edible Tales: Folklore, Myths, and Food Narratives in Higher Learning, to be published by Myers Education Press in their Culinary Canvas Series.

This collection seeks to explore the deep intersections between food, folklore, mythology, and storytelling in higher education, inviting contributions that blend academic rigor with immersive, narrative-driven inquiry. The editors are calling for chapters that breathe, haunt, and nourish—tales of forbidden fruits, ancestral altars, kitchen witches, feasts of defiance, and rituals that linger on the tongue.

Submission deadline is May 30, 2025. Questions can be sent to ediblenarratives@gmail.com, and the full call for chapter proposals can be found here.
