CFP: Graphic Novels, Comics, and Popular Culture
Proposals for papers and panels are now being accepted for the 44th annual Southwest Popular/American Culture Association (SWPACA) conference. The deadline for submissions is October 31, 2022.
The area chair seeks presentation proposals on formal, cultural, historical, and theoretical dimensions of sequential art in all its forms (comics, graphic novels, anime, etc.).
One of the nation’s largest interdisciplinary academic conferences, SWPACA offers nearly 70 subject areas, each typically featuring multiple panels.
