The Louisiana Folklore Society will host its annual meeting on April 1-2, 2022 at the Teche Center for the Arts in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, on the theme of Waterlore.

The society hopes the theme will encourage discussion and collaboration around the many ways in which aqueous issues flow into and around the vernacular knowledge systems of this, the most watery of states. Submissions can explore any areas related to Louisiana’s aquatic entanglements and their manifestations in folklore and/or folklife.
