“Monuments and Colonialism” the Subject of Online Seminar at University of Helsinki
The University of Helsinki will host a seminar on conceptions of Europe’s cultural heritage and monuments on September 8, 2022. The panel will further discuss the role of statues in activism across Europe and globally. In addition, they will reflect on different kinds of narratives surrounding colonial heritages and monuments. The event will host papers and panel discussions on colonialism, historical memory, and heritage studies.
