NEA Seeks Folk and Traditional Arts Director

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is seeking a full-time Folk and Traditional Arts Director in Washington, DC. This position reports to the Senior Director of Multidisciplinary Arts & Equity in the Office of Strategy, Programs, & Engagement (SPE) of the NEA. The incumbent serves as the agency’s nationally recognized leader and authority for the field of Folk and Traditional Arts, which are rooted in and reflective of the cultural life of a community. The incumbent also serves as the Folk and Traditional Arts field expert to advise senior staff about trends that may influence programming and funding opportunities. In addition, the Director serves as a member of the SPE Management Team and contributes to their efforts to provide national leadership and direction for the Office.
Salary: $139,395Â – $191,900 per year
