THIS TOUR IS FOR ARCHIVES & LIBRARIES SECTION MEMBERS ONLY.
Senior Archivist for the American Song Archives, Kate Blalack, will give an on-site “behind the scenes” tour of the manuscripts, artwork, museum artifacts, and other archival materials housed at the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, OK. Tour will include a discussion of facilities considerations for preservation, viewing of rare and unusual items in the collections, and an overview of research considerations. Please leave personal belongings behind, or they will be locked in the archives office prior to the tour. No cameras or recording allowed. No food or drinks. No bulky clothing. Please wear closed toed shoes.
Registrants for this special tour of the archives will also have the opportunity to reserve tickets to tour the Woody Guthrie Center and/or the Bob Dylan Center at the special rates for AFS attendees ($10 for either center, or $16 for a dual ticket with AFS name tag) when they arrive at the museum.
