The first of the Philadelphia Folklore Project’s four-part series on cultural appropriation will take place June 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM EDT. This panel will cover concerns on becoming integrated within a culture. How should we approach a culture that is not our own? When do we feel like we have a right to teach within that culture? How do we create, maintain, and honor cultural lineages?
