The Folklore Library and Archive

An independent library and archive, physically based in the South West of the UK, with a website managed by dedicated volunteers, which aims to preserve and digitize an ever-growing repository of research material in the field of folklore for future generations of researchers. The collection includes The Chris Jenkins Archive and the Venetia Newall Archive.

The website is currently being built as documents and projects are worked on and sections will continue to be added as data becomes available. Audio, video and written materials will all become available once processed.

The Folklore Library and Archive seeks donations of books and other reference materials, including photos and audio or video recordings of “folklore in action.”
