The Save America’s Treasures grant program has been reopened, with a new deadline of March 10, 2022.

This grant has been reopened due to a continued availability of $25 million in funds. The grant program is divided into two parts:

  • One for preservation projects (for properties listed in the National Register of Historic Places for national significance or designated a National Historic Landmark. The property may be listed on either individually or as contributing to a nationally significant district). These awards are managed by the National Park Service.
  • One for projects involving collections (including artifacts, museum collections, documents, sculptures, and other works of art). These awards are managed by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) are also partners in the program.
