Smithsonian Folklife Festival Hosts Conversation Series, For the Common Good – Smithsonian Voices for Our Shared Future 250

Events, News from the Field

Have you ever wondered who tends to the Smithsonian’s gardens or keeps the museums secure? Or what it takes to restore the Smithsonian Castle?

In this conversation series, Smithsonian staff explore how their work in museums, research and education centers, and a zoological park illuminates the ideals of a nation and contributes to our shared future. As the United States marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, this moment offers opportunities for commemoration, contemplation, and celebration that foster renewed commitment to shared ideals and aspirations. We invite you to join us as we reflect on what it means to work toward the common good.

Join Smithsonian staff in the historic Arts and Industries Building and online, Tuesdays through Saturdays, June 16 to July 11, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET. All sessions are open to the public and streaming on YouTube, where they will remain available to watch.
