Are you a folklorist seeking more information about how to get involved in or share news about your US Regional Arts Organization? Are you wondering what a US Regional Arts Organization is?

The Regional Arts Organization leaders of the Folk Arts Partnership Professional Development Institute–a collaboration between AFS, the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, and the National Endowment for the Arts–held a virtual event titled USRAOs 101 for Folklorists on August 20 to share information about the regional arts funding ecosystem.

Watch the session and view the PPT presentation.

This event was sponsored by the American Folklore Society, National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, National Endowment for the Arts, Western States Arts Federation, Mid-America Arts Alliance, New England Foundation for the Arts, Arts Midwest, Mid Atlantic Arts, and South Arts.
