Indiana University Press is hosting a virtual book launch event for What Folklorists Do: Professional Possibilities in Folklore Studies on October 5, 2021, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm Eastern time with the book’s editor, former AFS Executive Director Timothy Lloyd.

Lloyd will be joined by four of the book’s authors—Danille Christensen of Virginia Tech, Diane Goldstein of Indiana, David Puglia of Bronx Community College, and Pat Turner of UCLA—who will each comment on, and read a brief excerpt from, their respective essays in the book. The session will then be opened for questions and discussion with attendees. Registration is required for participation in the event.
