AFS Prize Application Deadlines Are Approaching

Some important AFS prize deadlines are coming up.

Chicago Folklore Prize submissions must be postmarked by April 1.

May 1 is the deadline for nominations for two lifetime achievement awards:

• AFS Lifetime Scholarly Achievement Award
• Judith McCulloh Award for Lifetime Service to the Field

Now is also a good time to plan ahead for other AFS prize deadlines:

• August 15: Américo Paredes Prize and Zora Neal Hurston Prize
• September 1: Benjamin A. Botkin Prize
