New Directions in Folklore invites submissions for a collection of essays focusing on the intersection between folklore and mental health.

This issue can address a range of topics, from the occupational folklife of behavioral health therapists, to mental health stigma, memetic content, folk beliefs about therapy and mental health, and more. New Directions hopes this special edition will continue in the tradition of the fantastic work conducted by scholars researching folklore and health, and help shed light on experiences which shape daily lives and the larger discourse of the nation/world.
