The Journal of Folklore Research released their special issue, “LatinidadesReflexivity, Research, and the Creative Process,” 63(3), September – December 2025, which is now available on Project Muse. Stemming from a webinar organized by past-president Amy Shuman of the Folklore Fellows, this stand-out volume includes writing by Maribel Alvarez, Ruth Behar, José Limón, John McDowell, Raquel Romberg, Eric Mayer-García & Solimar Otero, Carlos Decena, and Selina Morales & Alexis Garcia.

JFR is also inaugurating a new section of the journal, “Creative Practice in Process.”  This section constitutes submissions of creative work to the journal that deepens understandings of folklore’s vital role in artmaking.
