Join Us at the 2024 AFS Annual Meeting for a Special Series Hosted at the Maxwell Museum (UNM): Community Engagement in the Museum

The University of New Mexico’s (UNM) Maxwell Museum of Anthropology welcomes you to attend a special series of programming at the 2024 AFS annual meeting in Albuquerque on the topic of Community Engagement in the Museum.

This series features three special programs on Friday, Nov. 8 from 1:30-7pm MT at the Maxwell Museum on UNM’s beautiful campus.

- Double Forum Session: Mobilizing Heritage in Museums to Promote Inclusion and Engagement: Part 1 & 2, 1:30 – 4:30 pm MT
- Hibben Center for Archaeology Research, Rm 105

- Reception in the Maxwell Museum Galleries, 4:30 – 5:30 pm MT
- Hibben Center for Archaeology Research, Atrium
- Food by Diné Chef Cleo Otero for 100 people, first come, first served
- Music by UNM student Carlos Arellano
- Korean Immigrant Dance in America, 5:30 – 7:00 pm MT
