The Mediterranean Studies Section of the American Folklore Society invites submissions for the new Fernand Braudel Prize for an outstanding student research paper in Mediterranean folklore with an honorarium of $500. The deadline for submissions is July 1, 2022.
All subject areas and topics in folklore are considered. Historical and contemporary perspectives are welcome. Where relevant to your subject matter and perspective, your work should take into account the unique ecology and history of the region, and its rich and diverse folklore.
Graduate students in folklore or allied disciplines are eligible to apply.
