AFS member Maida Owens is organizing an interest group to address the intersection of folklore and climate issues. Folklorists in academic, public, and applied settings are invited to participate in the first meeting to determine the name of the interest group and whether the group would like to focus primarily on the human dimension of climate adaptation or also include climate mitigation and physical adaptation.

For an introduction to the subject, see Climate Change Needs Folklorists.

The meeting will be via Zoom on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 1 pm Eastern.
