Why sponsor, exhibit or advertise at the 2021 AFS Annual Meeting?

Reach 800+ professionals in folklore studies and related fields, working in academic, public, and private institutions. Our exhibitors are a vital part of our annual meetings. Plus, as an exhibitor, you have access to all sessions and social events.

Discounted sponsor packages are available if you’d like to participate in more than one way. Contact us at [email protected] for more information.

Our attendees are particularly interested in:

Publications: showcase books and/or journals to those interested in advancing their education. Meet scholars interested in publishing their own work.

Technology: expand attendees’ awareness of technology that will assist them in the field and at their home institutions. Show them how you can help improve their work.

Community Resources: connect communities to information and resources about folklore studies, folklore, folklife, festivals, exhibits, archives, and more!

Sponsor an Event

Plan Your Own Event

Organize a “meet the author” book event, workshop, information session, or hosted meet and greet all your own. You can be creative about the content — we’ll provide the Zoom meeting, schedule listing, and in-conference promotion. Attendees may attend your live virtual event, or access a recording later, if you choose. Contact us at [email protected] or 812-856-2422 to discuss how we can support your plans.

Support a Scheduled Session/Event

Help support the meeting by sponsoring the keynote addresses or another already-scheduled event. The session description will feature your name and logo, if you choose.

People browse and chat in groups around display tables in a conference exhibit room.

Virtual Exhibit Gallery

Claim your space in our virtual Exhibit Gallery, where attendees can browse your description, statement, images or video, download your catalog, and contact you. This is a great way to share information about your organization and links to your store or website. The Gallery will be viewable to all visitors, not just attendees, and your display may be accessed from June through December 31. We can suggest ways to customize your space to make the most of its features, including new networking options.

In-Person Display

If you intend to travel to Harrisburg, you may reserve table or floor space in the main lobby for informational or promotional displays, or to meet with attendees. This year, secure space is not available.

Conference-Wide Banner Ad

Place your banner ad or logo in the online program,  the hub for all virtual and in-person events, with traffic from September through the live event, and continuing at least until the end of the year for on-demand, asynchronous access. Anyone can view the online program, not just registered attendees.

In-Person Ads

Reserve half-page ad or full-page ad in the print materials to be distributed to in-person attendees in Harrisburg, or insert your own materials. In-person options are limited this year; contact [email protected] to inquire.
