The Folklore and Science Section of the American Folklore Society (AFS) is excited to announce the launching of their quarterly gatherings. Led by members of the Climate Interest Group, the discussion at their spring meeting this year will focus on the intersection between folklore, science, and climate. They will also be voting in a new junior convener for the section, as well as discussing the various presentations and forums they proposed for the AFS Annual Meeting this coming October in Asheville, NC.

The meeting will be held on May 12, 2026, from 8pm–9:30pm ET. All AFS members are invited to attend this event. Registration is required.
