AFS Releases Preliminary Program Schedule of the 2026 Annual Meeting

This past week, we released the preliminary program for pre-organized panels and forums, and assembled panels (those panels created by bringing together individual presentations). Currently, the preliminary program draft is available only to those who have registered for an account in Fourwaves; it is not publicly accessible. Anyone who has submitted a proposal will have a registered Fourwaves account. Others who plan to attend the conference also may have already registered in the platform and thus have access to the schedule draft.

Those of you presenting in a panel or forum, please check the schedule to confirm when and where your session is scheduled to be held. Pre-organized panels and forums include session titles. For the time being, individual presenters should search the program for their name, not their presentation title. Assembled panels currently list only presenter names (and titles, in some cases, generic titles). Individual paper titles and abstracts will be built into the program as soon as possible.

In addition to your checking the schedule to see the variety of interesting presentations you can attend, we ask presenters who learn they have a conflict with the day and/or time on which their presentation is scheduled contact annualmeeting@afsnet.org asap to request a change in the schedule. We need those requests no later than August 10 in order to process them in time to meet deadlines for publishing the program. Also, of course, one person’s change request requires another’s session changing, which means we cannot guarantee all requests will be met. We do our best to adjust the preliminary schedule as little as possible to accommodate requests; nevertheless, you might hear from staff asking if you are able and willing to be moved to another session block to facilitate a colleague’s attendance.
