Call for Nominations for the 2022 Election to the AFS Fellows

The AFS Fellows is pleased to announce that nominations for AFS Fellows are now open to the entire AFS membership. The nomination period for the 2022 election of new Fellows is open until 11:59 p.m. on March 4.  

In the fall of 2021, the AFS Fellows voted both to expand the number of fellows inducted from six to ten, and to open the nomination process to the AFS membership at large. 

Each nomination must be made by two people, at least one of whom must be a Fellow.  A second nominator may be from the general membership. Nominations must include:

• A letter of support from the two nominators
• A two-page cv for the nominee.

While you should identify the nominators in your email to the nominating committee, please do not include the names of nominators on any of the support materials. Please send these materials as pdfs or word docs, attached to an email to Mary Hufford, Chair of the AFS Fellows Nominating Committee, [email protected], by 11:59 p.m. on March 4.

The 2022 AFS Fellows Nominating Committee includes Jim Leary, Kay Turner, Luisa Del Giudice, and Kimberly Lau.
