Micah Ling (PhD candidate at Indiana University) received the 2022 Archie Green Student Travel Award.

The Archie Green Student Travel Awards, awarded by the Public Programs Section, is named for folklorist and activist Archie Green of San Francisco, for students to defray costs for traveling to the AFS annual meeting. The Section is interested in supporting graduate and undergraduate students who have an interest in working as public folklorists, or who have chosen an area of public folklore as a primary topic of research.

Ling has worked and researched continuously into furthering the expanse and understanding in the areas of public folklore work; particularly her future plans aim at furthering the public programming within museums and archives.
