Register for Virtual NHA Briefing on NEH Support for Indigenous American Languages

On July 19, the National Humanities Alliance (NHA) will host a virtual briefing to discuss the many ways that the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) supports the documentation and revitalization of Indigenous American languages. NEH funding supports the preservation of Native languages and lifeways through grants to study and document endangered languages and make language resources accessible to tribal members. 

Three NEH grantees will discuss the profound impact that NEH funding has had on their work in language preservation and revitalization. The presenters are:

• Daryl Baldwin, from the Myaamia Center at Miami University
• Larry Kimura and Bruce Torres Fischer, from the Kaniʻāina (Voices of the Land) project at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo
• Audra Vincent, from the Coeur d’Alene Online Language Resource Center

The briefing will take place on July 19th at 3:00 EDT.
