Sign Up Now to Volunteer at the 2026 Annual Meeting
The American Folklore Society is excited to welcome members and guests to our upcoming Annual Meeting in Asheville! To make this year a success, we’re seeking a limited number of enthusiastic in-person volunteers to help with supporting the conference.
Volunteer Roles May Include:
- Assisting with registration and check-in
- Troubleshooting technical issues
- Providing support in session rooms
- Helping with special events or receptions
- Answering attendee questions and offering general hospitality
Why Volunteer?

- Receive a refund on your conference registration based on your volunteer hours.
Volunteer Refund Tiers
- 4–7 hours → 50% refund
- 8+ hours → 100% refund
(Refunds will be processed after the meeting once shifts are completed.)
