Revised Program for the 2022 AFS Annual Meeting Now Available

You can now find the revised program for the 2022 Annual Meeting of the American Folklore Society in Tulsa on the AFS Annual Meeting Hub. The program is still growing, but there’s already a lot to look forward to! Start browsing and planning your agenda.
The AFS Annual Meeting Hub is the online place to go to find the information you need to engage with the 2022 Annual Meeting. Anyone can view all the pages of the Hub, and it will serve as the center of access and up-to-date information even as we gather in Tulsa. Use the Hub, which is readable on mobile devices, as a complement to the print program book that you can still pick up onsite.
Eventually, the Hub will also provide access to some protected content, like recordings of plenary events, Zoom access for some hybrid sessions, and presenters’ contact information. We will share Log In information with registered attendees later this month.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be building more useful resources, like information for attendees and presenters, and Meeting Highlights. We’ve just started identifying thematic threads to help you navigate our jam-packed program, and hope to add many more guides to special topics. In the meantime, we’re excited to share the Local Engagement thread, a rich line-up of sessions, events, and tours organized by the Tulsa Local Arrangements Committee to create unique opportunities to engage with the people of Tulsa and the region and with their concerns.
You won’t want to miss the Tulsa meeting. Register now!
Would you like a complimentary registration? Consider signing up to be an AFS volunteer! We will need volunteers to staff the registration table as usual, as well as volunteers to serve as Zoom moderators for our slate of hybrid sessions. We will distribute a call for volunteers soon, but please let us know now at [email protected] if you are interested.
We sometimes make mistakes, and we are happy to correct any errors that you may come across on our site. If you find an error, please let us know using the “submit a correction” link.
