The AFS Fellows will present a webinar on February 6, 2026 at noon EST, examining current ideas, trends, and methods in folklore and education.
This year, AFS members will vote for two seats on the Executive Board and one seat on the Nominating Committee. The voting deadline is December 18 at 11:59 pm EST.

The JAF Editorial Collective invites submissions addressing any aspect of generative AI and folklore for a themed issue of the Journal of American Folklore. Submissions are due February 1, 2026.
The virtual portion of the 2025 Annual Meeting takes place Wednesday, November 12 through Friday, November 14 on the conference platform.
The 2026 AFS Annual Meeting will be held in Asheville, NC, October 27–31. In the following year, AFS will hold a joint meeting with the Oral History Association in Chicago, IL, November 3–6, 2027.
