AFS is pleased to offer you the first look at this year’s hub for the 2021 Annual Meeting of the American Folklore Society, custom-built by AFS staff to share the conference program and access virtual and recorded sessions. We’re still adding new functionality, new content, and incorporating late change requests, so the schedule may change before the meeting, but you can review the program now, and begin to plan your conference experience!

There is no need to wait to explore the Showcase, where you can find our virtual exhibitor and sponsor pages that feature special AFS discounts, new titles, book catalogs, and more! See Preconference Events for recordings of virtual sessions from the summer, including our Hear from Harrisburg series and the AFS Fellows Folklore Talks webinars. Each of these sessions brings forward rich conversation about tradition and resilience.

Anyone can see the program on the conference hub, but only registered attendees can join sessions, access conference recordings, or participate in forums. Instructions for how to Log In and unlock the program will be emailed to registered participants later this week.

Not yet registered? Go to our registration form. (Not sure? The form will let you know after you’ve entered your name and email address.)In the meantime, find important Annual Meeting resources at our 2021 Annual Meeting page, including information for presenters and information for attendees, like local guides for exploring Harrisburg and Central Pennsylvania.
